“The tools that I use are those hidden within you. I use creative therapy and behavioral techniques to help you get where you want to be. Our collaboration is a trip that we will embark on together. I will help you find the best solutions to the answers you have.”

- AKILI CARTER

Passionate about helping people unlock their inner strength and potential, founder Akili’s journey in the mental health field spans over two decades. While he specializes in working with couples and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD/ADD, he has worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to depression, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, behavioral issues, and issues within the relationship and family bond. Additionally, he’s collaborated with parents both in the home and on the residential level to provide support for families and children. He believes that, while daunting, the mental health journey is a lifelong process that can be truly beautiful.

Akili’s approach is centered around the individual. His goal is to help people embrace their neurodivergence and authenticity, and to find their voice. He finds that people often have the answers they need - they just don’t know it yet. Therapeutic modalities used include REBT, CBT, Positive Psychology, ACT, and Gottman Method. Akili also utilizes multimedia resources, oftentimes with an emphasis on music and creativity.
